Independent School District #458 Special Board Meeting

February 7, 2024 - 5:30 p.m.

I. Call to Order:

Roll Call: Present — Mike Pfeil, Kenna Krahmer, Maria Haler, James Farnum and Jeff Nauman

Absent — Paula Heckman

Guests included: Jennifer Brookens - Truman Tribune

Staff present: Lisa Shellum.

II. Approval of Agenda:

Motioned by Farnum and seconded by Nauman to approve/amend the February 7th, 2024 Board Agenda. Motion passed on a 5-0 vote.

III. INFORMATION

A) Information was given to the board regarding several building projects that are long overdue for TPS. The list included energy savings projects: doors, windows, Boiler, , bathroom fixtures; Abatement Bond projects such as resurfacing existing parking lot, creating a new parking lot in the back and creating a new bus stop for the front of the building. Indoor Air Quality projects include HVAC, asbestos removal, and others that fit into this category. This presentation also included information on how to fund the projects using several different ways including new avenues that have been school districts through legislative action. Sitelogic representatives Michael Smith – Program Executive, and CJ Ellworth Education Consultant were at the meeting to present on behalf of Sitelogic. After a brief caucus and discussion, the board made a decision to sign a contract with them to help us to create, get approvals, facilitate the bid process and oversee the projects a menu of projects that the board will choose from. The timeline is very short and a decision will be made within the next 2 months from February to April.

IV. Action

Motion by Farnum second by Maria Haler to approve allowing Superintendent Shellum to sign a Professional Service Agreement with SiteLogic dated February 9, 2024. Motion passed on a 5-0 vote.
