DeLores was born on a cold, blustery night on February 28, 1930 to Lillian (Burrill) and Elmer Boesch in Pleasant Mound Township. She was welcomed home by Calvin and Gerald. DeLores was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman. She attended country school Dist. 100 until 8th grade and graduated from Truman High School in 1948. She was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran on New Year’s Eve 1947 by Rev. E.T. Hayne.

They all attended Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. The couple farmed there for over 43 years until retiring to Truman in 1991.

Farming together they shared many interests, gardening, refinishing furniture, woodworking and square dancing. DeLores also decorated cakes, loved cooking and entertaining, quilting, doll collecting, and music. For many years working with Zion Ladies Aid, she decorated for many occasions. DeLores and Eldor volunteered over 15 years at the Truman Museum. They enjoyed trips with friends to many states but there was no place like home.
